Stalled Perspective - Bug or expected behavior?

I have created a "stalled" project perspective. This is a great way to see all projects that don't have next action, right? so that gives me an opportunity to create an action for those projects. I click in the project, hit enter to create an action under that project and then the project disappears. I think this would be expected behavior, as that project would then no longer be stalled because it now has a new blank action.

I searched around for a solution, such as a preference that only updates a perspective when the user wants such. I did not find such.

So is this a bug or am I correct that it is expected behavior. If so, is there way around it?

Yeah, this is certainly inconvenient behavior, and I know of no way to turn it off. What I do is to double-click on the project or on the row handle of one of its actions. This creates a new window focused on that project where I can edit without having the project immediately vanish. When I have completed any changes, I close the window and I am back at the previous view (which will no longer show the project I edited if my changes removed it from the stalled state).
