getting rid of hard returns
I use Outliner at times to aggregate student comments from class assignments. I get the comments within the body of an email or a Word doc.
About 30% of the student comments have awkward hard returns in them. How can I get rid of these hard returns in an easy way? I tried going to Help, and then using the \r syntax for carriage return. But this doesn't seem to do the trick. I know this must be simple (after all even MS Word can do it easily enough), but I'm clearly missing something here. Any help much appreciated! |
Install the freeware WordServices:

Jonathan,
Thanks, that's a great suggestion. It's not perfect, but it should be much quicker than what I'm doing now! - Mathew |
along these lines (no pun intended) is there a key or other quickie command for joining lines in an outline?
I'm a programmer, and this is common feature of text editors and one I use frequently. thanks, GW- |
