Demands for the Toolbar Search Field
1) That the recent searches are in the menu (as Safari do, for example).
2) That we can use a default search site : if the default search site is set in the Shortcut Preferences, the search site choice will revert back to the default search site every time a search is completed. For example, say we set the Google search site as our default search site. We can select the Apple search site and do a search, but right after we do, the Google search site will be selected again. 3) That we can use key equivalents for a search site to choose that search site with the keyboard rather than with the mouse. 4) That we are able to reorder the sites of search in the menu and to insert separators. Ce sera tout pour le moment :). |
Are you aware you can type in search shortcuts into the address bar, followed by search terms? That would alleviate the need for #2, work for #3 and make #4 not needed too.
I always use the address bar, and I removed the search field. |

I know that :). |
Sounds like putting all of the features of AcidSearch into OmniWeb. (Sounds good.)
