Help creating a chronodex

So I need a little help.... I'm trying to create my own digital Chronodex template.

What's a chronodex you ask?
Look here...

Omnigraffle seems like a perfect tool to create one, but I can't quite figure out how to put it all together and make it look nice and professional.

Any help from useful stencils to tips on how to get the shapes and fill right would be appreciated.

Thanks,

Adam

Hi Atras,

You'll be drawing this, or do you want to automatically generate it from data?

If you're just drawing this, I'd start with the adjustable wedge shape. You'll find this in "Common" Stencil under "Shapes" in the Stencils window.

This is shape is a (filled) circle segment (i.e., a wedge), and you can drag the two sizing handles on the circumference to make the circle segment wider or narrower.

I think I'd just want to draw it, then fill in the data as needed.

Thanks for the tip, I'll try that.

For a quick first sketch, you could:

Open OmniGraffle,
open the attached 12 section outline in OmniOutliner,
run the attached script,
and delete some sections from the radial diagram which it generates from the outline structure.
