Top & Bottom Margin Frustration

In OmniGraffle for iPad, If I am editing text in a shape, and I set the top &/or bottom margin to zero, then set my text to valign top or bottom, I still have a very large space between the edge of the shape and my text. Is there away to have 0 margin really place the text at the edge?
