Links to Websites
Howdy,
as a new user, I'm lovin' OmniFocus! I noticed that the app included links to 48folders.com. Is there any way that I can create my own hyperlinks to websites? O |
Sure, just drag or type any URL into a note field. You can also drag a site's favicon (the tiny icon at the left end of your browser's address field) to get the name of the page as a link rather than just the URL as a link.

I tried that. It inserts the text but it does not create a hot-link.

O
What did you try, exactly? Dennis provided a number of different suggestions... If you type a URL into the notes field, you need to select it and choose Make Link from the popup menu you get by ctrl or right-clicking. Otherwise, it won't become a hot link until you end the edit of that note field. I'm guessing this is what you are encountering. |
Wow, thanks for clearing that up.
I had to select it first, then right click to create a link! It works! Appreciate it. O |
I usually just exit the note field and all valid URLs get turned into links automatically. Can't be much simpler than that. :-)

-Dennis
Hmnn... my OmniFocus must be buggy. It doesn't turn URL's into links automatically. I'm glad I learned how to do it manually, though. Thanks a lot for your help, Dennis! O |
Can you show us a screen capture of one of your URLs that don't become hot links?
|
oloyd: This might be something that we added for OmniFocus 1.1. Which version are you using?
|
I'm using the latest version of Sneaky Peak 1.1
