Customize Captured Data when using Send to OmniFocus

Hi,

I am wondering if there's a way to customize what data gets captured for specific applications when using the Send to OmniFocus service.

Case in point: I'm using the Send to OmniFocus with EagleFiler and nvALT. The information of the newly created tasks doesn't have the optimal format.

With EagleFiler the task name is the window title and the note contains the item title as a link back. I'd like it to be in the form:

Task: EagleFiler's title
Note: Link back to EF's item (+ sometimes any notes attached to the EF item)

I can create a script that I trigger from EF to create a new item in OF, but the optimal solution would one which would allow me to customize what OF is capturing when Send to OF is triggered.

We've written clipping plug-ins for a few specific apps that we figured would be used by the majority of OmniFocus customers. Examples include Mail and Safari. (There are also a couple of plugins that we wrote essentially for our own use - NetNewsWire and OmniWeb, for example.)

In other apps, we try to capture at least some information that would be useful no matter what the app in question was: the selected text and the title of the window that text came from.

Sounds like EagleFiler falls into that last category; I'll file a feature request for a clipping plugin for it. Thanks!

I too would like to see something similar to this. For example, I would like to see the Clip-O-Tron 3000 plugin allow a user to set the date the email was recv'd as the start date of the item once in OmniFocus.
