Buggy perspectives (96394)

I've posted to feedback:

1) When a perspective is applied in context view, the "clear perspectives" button (x in a circle) disappears.

2) When a perspective is applied in context view, all action lines are collapsed, even if that was not the setting when the perspective was created. Menu/Expand All does not work until one selects a header row in the actions window and then chooses Menu/Expand All

Also, the new sidebar background color in recent releases is (to my eyes) ugly. Could we have something less pink-ish? Or maybe an option to choose our own backgrounds?

As I understand it, that's not a bug. The x in circle is not Clear Perspectives; it resets the current perspective to its default, so that if you make a change in some of the View Bar settings, you can quickly return to the perspective.

I see what you mean - the tooltip does indeed say the circle-x restores perspective defaults.

However, now I'm not sure what the defaults are.

The interactions among settings, perspectives, the clearing of perspectives, and the restoring of defaults create more degrees of freedom than my little brain can absorb :-))
