Is Omni Group also planning to modify the "Notes" field?

As of now it is pretty bad.

I saw a good implementation of it in Minjet Tasks where all your comments show up like SMS's on iMessage, which gives an idea as to all that has been done with regards to a particular task.

I personally love this feature
