Due alerts aren't loud and short
 
It would be nice to have the option to choose a longer and louder due alert.

This is crucial!! I'm always finding myself missing due alerts.

PLEASE fix this.

If you send email to the [EMAIL="omnifocus-iphone@omnigroup.com"]support ninjas[/EMAIL], we can write up a feature request on a longer sound clip.

I'm unsure if we can make the sound "louder" though; I'm not sure applications have the ability to override the global volume setting. In fact, I can imagine several reasons why that feature would be deliberately excluded from the programming interfaces. Customers should decide how loud their devices are, not application developers.

I hesitate to put words in CatOne's mouth, but from my work with customers, I have seen some folks who've gotten stuck in reactive mode rather than proactive. I find the reminders useful for a few things, but I don't schedule my day around them. Instead, I check my lists frequently and try to check things off before they're due. That works better for me.

That all said, if your workflow works for you, that's all that really matters. Send the ninjas that email and we'll see if we can do something about this in a future version. (With the caveat that we generally try to prioritize our work around the number of customers requesting a given feature.)
