lookupd & OmniWeb 5.5.1
 

Recently I've had lookupd getting out of control on my dual 2.7 G5 running 10.4.8. I spent a bunch of time yesterday trying to track down the culprit. Rebooting my cable modem would fix it until the modem was back up. Same with my router. I updated the firmware on my router, restarted lookupd... still nothing change for more than a few seconds.

So today I started quitting apps to see if one of them was causing it. I quit FF and waited a couple minutes, no change. Then I quit OW and the problem went away.

I have searched a bunch for why lookupd starts continually spiking the CPU but haven't found a solid answer yet. Anyone know why OW would be causing this?
