Quick search should default to focus on the active forum
 

when I am searching, I am usually searching for words in the forum I am in. The quick search searches all forums. I have to go to advanced search, pick the forum I am in, then type in the words to search for.

I think most users don't use the search enough because it takes too much effort to search for something in a forum. This may help cut down on duplicate posts.

I agree with this. I search before I post a new thread and always have to use advanced search to limit the search to the active forum.
