Breaking Apart Objects
 

Hello All,

I am trying to cut a circle into multiple pieces that I color and manipulate them individually.

I have the beginning on the object mapped out -- see attachment 1: black circle with white chevrons cut out. The chevrons are line objects sitting on top of the circle. Can I tell OmniGraffle to use them to cut the circle apart so I have 4 pieces?

I'd also like to pull out a small arc from the circle -- see attachment 2: black circle with magenta rectangles. I'd like to pull out the top arc, between the rectangles so that I can format it independently.

I've tried to use the Union and Subtract functions using different objects, but I always end up with lines (Strokes) I didn't want.

Does OmniGraffle allow me to do this?
