Why am I prompted to save?

I've just started using OmniFocus, and maybe I don't quite get it yet. Sometimes the OmniFocus window's close button gets the "dirty dot" and when I close it it asks if I want to save my changes. What exactly am I saving? OF isn't a document-based app, right? Is this a bug?

Many thanks. :)

I don't think it's a bug - and it's something new (for me) in the last version or three. It implies that you can close this document. It implies that you can open another document. I sent a report to the support ninjas regarding exactly this.

Here is the reply I received from OmniGroup when I asked the question a little while back:

"OmniFocus will ask you to save if you quit while you're editing a cell. It won't auto-save until you leave a cell. It's also possible to be prompted to save if you've triggered a bug which is normally accompanied by an error message at some point."

If you do something that leaves the window "dirty" when you don't think it should be, you should report it to Omni using the send feedback menu item. The OP didn't say what he did that left the window dirty, but I know that changing the colors of things can leave the window dirty when it shouldn't; I reported this and it's going to get fixed (if it hasn't already).
