Woudn't it be terrific if OmniGroup now developed "OmniTime" as an extension to OmniPlan? (Or as a related, separately-purchased product?) What I am envisioning is that for every task that is assigned to a staff resource, a labeled clock is displayed on that staff person's desktop. Each clock is clickable (kind of like a chess clock) and is clicked on by the worker whenever effort is applied against a task. (Only the clock most recently clicked runs.) Narrative can be added to any clock's log. The accumulated times are posted back against the OmniPlan project(s) and every start-stop time pair along with any contemporaneous narrative and totals accumulated for each task (between specified start and stop dates) can be exported as a monthly work report (in the case of an employee) or an invoice (in the case of a consultant). (In the latter case, the billing rate can be obtained from the hourly cost field of the staff resource in OmniPlan.)

On this subject, I've found that slimtimer ( [url]http://www.slimtimer.com[/url] ) is great for time tracking. However integrating it with Omniplan might be a bit of a challenge.
