Newbie ?: Visio .vdx file opens Read Only in OG
 

I recently (last night) downloaded the evaluation version of OG4.2 (v129.12) and tried to open a visio .vdx file. OG4 opens it, but as "Read Only" and now I am unable to edit it. The original file was created in MS Visio 2003, which I then saved as a Visio 2002 document and converted to an xml file for import to OG4.

Is the read only issue related to:
1) my copy of OG4 is an evaluation version
2) the process of converting an MS Visio 2003 to a 2002 version
3) wrong process to convert to xml
4) all of the above
5) something else.

I welcome your comments or suggestions.

It sounds like #1. Unlicensed copies of Graffle will let you view stuff, but not edit nontrivial documents. You can request a free 1-day trial license from our website and have access to the full functionality of the app.

After entering the trial license, I am now able to edit the drawing.

So far, I am pleased with the application.
