Sharing plans

A couple of us are trying to share our plans, and the easy approach is to email them as attachments. But this doesn't work... the file that shows up on the other side is missing all it's guts. I believe this is because the OmniPlan file on the local computer is really a package (is this called a resrouce fork?). And while a drag and drop into an email looks like it works, not all the bits get sent along.

The only workaround we've found is to tar up the omniplan "file" and send the tarball instead.

What is the best practice for sharing plans?

An OmniPlan file is really a package. Apple's Mail handles these correctly. Some other mail apps do not. Right now that package only contains one file (called "contents.xml"), so you could get away with just sending the contents.xml file, BUT we may put multiple files inside an omniplan file package in the future, so I'm not really recommending this. Creating a zip or tar is probably the best approach if your mail client does not handle OmniPlan files correctly.

Anybody else have ideas?
