Default text alignment
Hello all,
Is it possble to align text by default left? The default alignment is centre, which in most cases is wrong for me. Off course you can adjust it using the inspector, but that's not a default setting. |
Make a stencil with an object having your preferred text settings, then use the stencil.
You could also use the Canvas: Selection inspector to quickly grab all of the text objects, then apply the left justification en masse. |
Option-click the Shape Tool or Text Tool to inspect it, bring up the Style: Text Inspector, and you can set default alignment there.
Hope that helps. |

[/QUOTE] That doesn't seem to affect the behavior of plain text blocks without an enclosing shape, however. Is there a way to control that? |

Inspecting the Text Tool instead of the Shape Tool will change the defaults for text objects, is that what you're wanting here? |
