Tool for making simple drawings while taking notes in OOP?

I am a grad student and am using OOP to take notes in classes and meetings, and so far it's been working out quite well. However, the one respect in which it is clearly inferior to taking notes on paper is the ability to make drawings (e.g., of graphs, diagrams, misc. figures).

I know that OOP has the ability to embed image files in OOP documents, but is there some other application or plugin or something that integrates nicely with OOP, that would enable me to quickly and easily make and embed simple drawings?

Maybe one of the other Omni products, or even just some very simple 3rd-party graphics program (perhaps that can be launched from OOP?)?
Mac OSX seems to lack an equivalent of MS Paint, unless I'm just completely unaware of it!
thanks,
~jason

Two quick options would be VoodooPad, which has a built-in drawing environment such as you're suggesting, or using something like FlySketch (by the VoodooPad folks) as a quick, small drawing tool from which you drag images into OO.

OmniGraffle might be worth a look. With LinkBack, you can embed your diagrams into Outliner, then double-click them to edit them in Graffle, and when you close the graffle, it'll save right back into your Outliner file.

Here's another thread where I mentioned the same thing in more detail: http://forums.omnigroup.com/showthread.php?t=1457
