OmniOutliner and email

Does anyone know of an Applescript that would import email into OO? I want to use OO to archive my email and need to get hundreds of messages into OO. Thanks.

What do you mean by "import email into OO"? One document per email, or one document holding all of your email? How would a message be stored? What would the arrangement of the messages be if multiple messages go in the same document? How do you envision using this archive? What benefit do you receive from storing your email in OO instead of in an email program?

archiving mail

did you know that there are suitable mac programs for archiving mail after it is imported as text? No need to reinvent the wheel.
take a look at devonthinkpro. also a new version of mailsmith will be on the market soon.
my own current solution involves microsoft entourage 2004 which is fully indexed and searchable by google's desktop for mac, which is free.

why in particular do you want to put mail in an outliner? do you wish to audio notes about your mail or something like that? are you doing some sort of taxonomy of your mail for human resource purposes? I'd love to hear a new idea even a bad one is stimulating so don't be shy!

pps

i am sure you could use automator and record the process of exporting mail as text from whatever mail client you use, play the automator and then import the text documents into OO3.
i suspect you might run into some file size limitations at the omni end but i haven't looked into it.
