Probably when the iTunes shop open some time next month (11th?)

The iPhone app store isn't opening up until July 17. Right now, you can't add 3rd party apps to your iPhone without hacking it, but that will change with the upcoming update to iPhone 2.0. If you just have an iPod touch and not an iPhone, you'll have to pay for that update.

The app should come out close to the release date, so around July 17.

Or maybe it's the 11th. I'm not sure. I thought it was the 17th.

IIRC, the store opening date hasn't been announced (other than that it will be in July). The iPhone 3G shipping date has. The assumption is that both will be the same.
