RealPlayer, Amazon, and OW-5.5.1-v607.5

Greetings.

I've noticed the following anomaly with the latest release of OW 5.5.1 and RealPlayer 10.1.0 for Mac OS X, the latest version of Real Player. I'm running Mac OS X 10.4.8 on a PM G5 @x2.3 GHz with 4.5 GB RAM.

If I go to a page on Amazon.com, look up a CD, and attempt to play a track clip using RealPlayer, and RealPlayer has not previously been launched, here's what happens:

1. Multiple windows start launching.
2. RealPlayer displays the following message in a dialog:
RealPlayer cannot run on this computer.

This computer is running Mac OS X version 10.4.8.
This version of RealPlayer requires Mac OS X 10.2 with Safari
installed, or Mac OS X 10.2.8 or later.
One has to click Quit in the RealPlayer dialog before OW stops spawning new windows.

Additionally:

• I do not see this problem in the latest version of Safari.

• If RealPlayer is launched before attempting to play the track clip, then the track plays properly.

• The only difference in how Safari and OW are configured is that Flash is disabled as a plug-in for OW.

• The following messages were displayed in console.log when attempting to play the track in OW where RealPlayer was not running first:
2006-11-15 13:02:43.842 RealPlayer[460] *** -[NSBundle load]: Couldn't dynamically load framework code

FYI: OmniWeb Support reports this is a known issue...

Since my report above did not garner any replies, I decided to submit an OW Feedback on this issue. The following is a subset of the reply I received from one of OW's Support Ninjas:
This is a known issue that we are working as fast as we can to correct. I've added your comments to our bug report to help our engineers assess the problem and to let them know that you're experiencing this issue as well.
Hopefully it will be corrected in the next update.
