Hosts that work with OmniPresence

We realize customers might have different ideas about what constitutes a perfect host for their data. We think Omni Sync Server is a great option to get started, but we explicitly designed OmniPresence so you can take your data anywhere. (Well, mostly anywhere. It needs to fully support WebDAV.)

So, we're going to keep track of worthwhile hosts. Some provide really high levels of encryption; some provide more space for free than others.

Do let us know if we can include any others on this list.

Here we go:

CloudSafe seems to be working fine

I have a WebDAV share set up with Dreamhost but OmniPresence complains that an unknown method, PROPFIND, is being used. Is that an issue on the part of the WebDAV server's config?

UPDATE: after I waited a few more minutes to try again, it worked. The WebDAV setup must not have been fully provisioned at the time.

DropDAV.com has added official OmniPresence support, enabling OmniPresence synced folders in your Dropbox.

We probably need to stay away from recommending anything that has an additional layer of sync on top.

Doesn't work for me. I get message:

WebDAV server failed conformance test.

Move of collection should return the correct destination URL.

I would really like to use CloudSafe.

Fastmail.fm

Fastmail.fm is one of the more popular email providers that also has webdav

Using OmniPresence/1.0.1/GM-v1.3

Followed instructions here https://www.fastmail.fm/help/remote_file_access_dav_and_ftp.html

but:

with https://dav.messagingengine.com got an error message that 'You don't have permission to access /.com.omnigroup.OmniPresence/ on this server."

with https://myfiles.messagingengine.com Omnipresecse seemed to get part way through creating its conformance testing directories before crashing.

Has any one else had any success getting Omnipresence to work with fastmail's webdav?

A colleague who added a CloudSafe share a few months ago reported this working. We're both using Mac OS X 10.8, but when I try to set it up now, I get that error message from OmniPresence:
Error Connecting!
We could not connect to your selected cloud location.
WebDAV server failed conformance test.
Move of collection should return the correct destination URL.
Authentication with CloudSafe is working fine. Local directory permissions seem OK (permit write by owner).

Any suggestions appreciated!

I've contacted OmniGroup and they said it is not working with the current version. They've updated the conformance test and it doesn't pass anymore -- they say they don't even know why it passed in the first place.

I'm using version 1.0 of OmniPresence and OmniOutliner 1.5 on iPad; that's the last version that does work with CloudSafe.

OmniGroup says I have to contact CloudSafe and see if they can help me, but I haven't had the time. I don't even know if they know what OmniPresence is. But it maybe worth emailing them. I'll do that as soon as I've finished my project. The more people email them, the higher priority it gets.

I setup fastmail using my files.messagingengine.com and have been successfully syncing some textedit rtf files between macs. I haven't tried it w/ any omni apps at this point. It appears to be working fine. Initial set up failed after creating .com.omnigroup hidden folder. I checked console and there were multiple 409 errors related to webdav. I tried deleting the .com.omnigroup folder and ran conformance test and it worked fine. I'm not sure deleting the folder was the fix and I did nothing to address the 409 errors. Mainly blind luck.
