What's the 'Show Columns' View menu item for?

Hi,
Apologies if I'm missing something obvious here. Under the View menu on my OmniFocus menu bar I see a 'View Columns' option, between the 'Show/Hide View Bar' and 'Columns' options. This option for me is always 'inactive' (greyed out). I've tried various permutations of display in my OmniFocus document window, but, try as I might, I cannot seem to get to a situation where this 'View Columns' option becomes 'enabled'.

Can anyone enlighten me as to what this menu option is for?

My guess is that it is an accident! There's no mention of it in the View Menu help, which skips from the entry before it to the entry after it.

Looking at the development database, it appears to be intended to show the column headers if the view bar is hidden. It doesn't ever enable, though, so it's possible that the feature was cut but the menu item wasn't.

Added a note about this thread to the item in the dev database on this. Thanks for the heads-up!

Personally, I'd welcome the ability to show column headings when the view bar is hidden. There are some views in the perspectives I use that, when adding an action, a field is visible where the default just says "no". I have no idea what the field is even telling me without the column heading being visible. Is this something that will be enabled at some point, or was the feature cut and the menu item not removed?

I'd also like to be able to see column headings without having to see the whole view bar. I've emailed the request in.
