Visio 2013 .VSD files not opening correctly
 

I have Graffle Pro 6.0.3, and was trying to open some VSD files sent to me from a windows 8 machine. I can open the files, but all text in the shapes is deleted and replaced with "ABC", and all object labels are replaced with "Label". Many connectors are disconnected. In short, the import process is broken.

This is what I get:

I've had no import issues with earlier versions of Visio with both Graffle 5 and 6.

Any suggestions?
