[RESOLVED] OmniFocus Claims it Can't Locate License

Hi,

I'm new to OF and purchased it recently on the Mac App Store. I had previously installed a trial version prior to making a purchase decision.

After purchasing, I assumed that I had a fully licensed application. However, it turns out this is not so. OF no longer allows me to access my data and requests the license.

The only information I received was a receipt with an order ID from Apple. I received no information from Omni.

I requested the license from the "Lost Licenses" function, and Omni's automated system response was that the email provided did not match any records. However, the email provided was the exact same email I received the invoice/receipt from when I purchased.

Can someone advise as to whether or not there is a faster fix? I have not seen a response from Omni yet, and of course their support will not open until 10am Pacific tomorrow.

Thanks,
Ryan

Update

Fixed.

Just uninstalled OF and then re-installed it. Worked like magic!

Omni's retrieve license info service knows nothing about any software purchased through the App Store (iTunes or Mac), as Apple doesn't tell them that you've made a purchase, only that a purchase was made. No use for it, either, as you just sign into the App Store with the account used to purchase it and Apple will let you download with no need for any license codes.
