Video & Audio links not working
I have a problem in that I have never been anle to get video or audio links to work. Whenever I click on such a link simply nothing happens, for example I often log on to the BBC news page and there are always a number of video links which I would like to play but can’t—is there something I am missing? Any help very gratefully received.
many thanks Benedictine |
Are you expecting to see a pop-up? Perhaps your pop-up blocker is preventing these from appearing.
1.) Go to the website where the links don't work. 2.) Select "Show Site Preferences" from the OmniWeb menu (or select "Preferences..." to change this for all websites). 3.) Choose the ad blocking panel. 4.) For "Block popup windows" choose never or "only when not requested". 5.) Reload the page. Try the link again. |
Thanks troyb, thats done it—exactly what i wanted. Many, many thanks.

What else can I do to get them and other videos to play in OmniWeb? |
Do you mean the content on e.g. http://www.comedycentral.com/shows/the_daily_show/index.jhtml
If so, these are Flash content - are you blocking .swf files in your ad blocking blacklist at all? If so, try disabling ad blocking for those sites. Or have you disabled the flash plugin in OmniWeb? |

4) Select "Ad Blocking". 5) Deselect the "Block images and other inline content: Matching known ad sizes" box. 6) Refresh the page. NateS |
