Exclusive styles
 

Hi,

I'd like to create styles that are exclusive, i.e. when applying a style to a topic the other style is removed.

For example, I've got "Heading 1" and "Heading 2". If a topic is already heading 1, and I apply heading 2 to it, then the topic gets both styles applied. I have to remove the old style manually first.

Is there any way to make that automatic?

Sorta, if you drag the style out from the style palette and hold down the command key when you drop it on the row, it'll remove other styes applied at to that specific row and apply any styles it needs to negate other styles effecting it to revert to the default + the style you add. So the resulting appearance will be the dragged style + default.
