OmniFocus and School Assignments

Hi,

I just got back to school. I started into an MBA 5 weeks ago.

I have been using OmniFocus to keep track of my assignments. Although it is going good, I still miss a way to have a big picture of everything that i have to deliver during the week. Does someone has an idea?

I have tryed to put the due date on the name of the project (which is my assignment), but it was too boring. Later I tryed to put it on the DueDate field, but it is annoying that it marks as a DueSoon task (when it is actually a project). another problem is that if I say to it to arrage by duedate, it also takes in account the tasks that are inside each project.

Regards

Bernardo

I personally made each class a project and each group of assignments a task group. It worked great for me. If I ran over on assignments I unmarked their due dates to avoid having overdue-ness. I also put in start dates to keep the list clear until I got to the particular assignment.

I'm having a tough time visualizing what you were having a problem with in the way you had it arranged, so I'm not sure if it will be an improvement for you.

My problem is to have an easy view of the when I need to deliver each assignment, by date.

There is a Due Date column in the project view. (Right-click on the column titles to turn it on.) Then you shouldn't need to put it in the project title. You can also sort your projects by Due Date if you turn on the View bar.
