WMV playback crashes OmniWeb
 

There seems to be a regression with the recent sneaky peek builds of OmniWeb. I used to be able to watch WMV files in the browser (via the Flip4Mac QuickTime plugin), but now OmniWeb crashes whenever I load a WMV. For example, [url=http://www.linspire.com/file_types/wmv_sample.php]this link[/url] crashes OmniWeb 612.0.90481, but it works fine in Safari 3.0.3.

I assume there's some incompatibility between Flip4Mac and OmniWeb that leads to the crash. But note that earlier sneaky peek builds (as recently as a week ago) didn't exhibit this problem and could play WMVs just fine. I haven't changed Flip4Mac since then, only OmniWeb.

I contacted OmniGroup support about this, but they are unable to reproduce the problem. Is anybody here experiencing this?
