File size and depth of children
 

Hello,

Does anyone know if there are limits to the size of the file for OO3 documents and if so, what that limit is? When do you folks start to see performance degradation?

Also is there is a limit to how many rows deep one can create children?

I'm not sure of a file size limit for OO3, but I have several that are over 500k and they have no problems at all. If you want to test if it might slow down a little with large sizes you can test it by copying & pasting a sections over and over to see how it performs.

As far as the number of levels/subsections, you can have dozens of levels (and probably more).

Also, to you and the community at large, do you happen to know if the OO3 file format is XML?

It's an XML file, plus any attachments (audio, images, etc.) all tucked into a file wrapper.
