Search from text
Is there a plug-in that allows users to search a term defined in text with search engines? For example, Saft in Safari allows you to right click a defined word and search for it in, say, Google or wikipedia. Thanks.

Looking a word up in the OS's Dictionary will already return Wikipedia results. I don't believe there is an easy way to add a Google search.

Check the services menu--there should be an option to search selected text in Google. Also, if you use a keyboard-based launcher like Quicksilver or LaunchBar (I highly recommend using one of these), you can use them to initiate searches or open URLs from highlighted text. |

This opens Safari for me. |
Oh, I see. I pointed it out because I saw it there, not realizing that it would always direct to Safari. I never use it myself because I use LaunchBar for the same thing, and it respects my default browser setting.

Yeah, it is really annoying not to save a "search in Google" right-click item
