Back button loses track of page scrolling
I clicked the "new post" button to the left of a thread subject in the Sneaky Peek forum:
http://forums.omnigroup.com/showthread.php?p=179#post179 This positioned the title bar of the first post at the top of the window. I scrolled thru this thread until I reached Cortig's link to a screen shot. Clicking this link replaced the thread with the image. I returned to the thread via the Back button, expecting to see the thread as I left it. However, it was scrolled to the top of the thread (as it was when I first viewed the thread). Refresh Page shows OmniWeb 5.5sp3 is maintaining the page scrolling location. But OW appears to forget this when returning to the page via Back. Since I was sure I've had the Back button restore scrolling location in 5.5sp1, I did some more experimenting. The problem with this forum thread is entering it via an URL with an anchor. -- Ward P.S. I sent a formal bug report to <omniweb5@omnigroup.com>. |
