how many child tasks?

Hi guys, I'm concerned by the videos that Ive seen that show only one level of child tasks in omnifocus...say you have numerous projects you are working on, and within each project, numerous areas to focus on, ie, 'web dev', 'marketing' etc, and then within each of these you have more sub headings, such as 'design title page', then within that one would also have numerous actions to take care of.

Is it the case that there is only one level of child tasks or have i misunderstood?

Any info much appriciated!

Thanks

Kevin

You can have as many levels of depth as you want in your task outlines. (OmniFocus itself doesn't impose any sort of limit, though there is a practical limit imposed by the amount of indentation relative to the size of your screen.)

To indent a task under the previous task, use Command-]. To outdent, use Command-[. (You can also create a new child task of the current task using Shift-Command-].)

The project list is also an outline: you can place projects in folders, and folders inside other folders. Again, OmniFocus doesn't impose a limit on the amount of depth to this structure, though there's a practical limit based on the width of the sidebar (which you can resize).

Hope this helps!
