Correct process to switch from MobileMe to Omni sync server?

I've been considering the Omni Sync Server and the impending* death of MobileMe is pushing me to move quicker (and reports of possibly faster sync don't hurt). However, what I haven't seen is what is the right process to switch? I've got a good bit of data syncing across 2 idevices and a mac. Should I just change the syncing options and it will magically be delicious or is there a step by step option.

I don't want to lose my database.

Thanks.

Welcome to the forums and thanks for considering the Omni Sync Server!

It's really pretty simple - I'd recommend getting all of your devices in sync on your old server, then select "Back up database" from the File menu on one of your Macs.

You can then request a server account on our website and the server will send you an email that walks you through the process of switching. Just carry out those steps on your devices and you'll be all set.

If anything unexpected *does* happen, you can return to the Mac you made the backup on, select "Revert to database backup" from the File menu, and you'll have your data back.

Hope this helps!

Hi Brian,

Ok, I'll give that a shot. Thank you.
