Oh, we may be talking about different things here. There is a bug that is specific to pages with the embedded vimeo player and html5 is enabled for the user. It doesn't have anything to do with flash...

Well, if you want to see what we were seeing, it's as simple as going to a vimeo page (like say: http://vimeo.com/22352706) and then clicking the "Switch to HTML5 player" link below the video....

So fwiw, the problem appears when using the html5 player. Or at least that's what I'm seeing. If you switch to the Flash player embeds work properly.

I personally prefer Morto's method but there is also a shortcut directly to the search field in the toolbar as well: CMD-Shift-F

You have to use the mouse to switch between search shortcuts...
