Clarification regarding "self signed" wording

Does your repeated reference to "self signed" certificates also cover certificates signed by a CA which chains up to a top level CA your software doesn't include in its list of default roots?

Might I suggest you specify the bug in more detail in your announcements (on this forum, and on twitter, at least), so folks who experience it can determine quickly if their "incompatibility" is new...
