Copy objects on multiple layers and maintain layer information

Hi,
I have multiple objects on multiple layers. How can I copy all objects to a different place on my workspace while keeping every object in the original layer?

If I just select all the objects...

How to make shadings/hatchings (Schraffuren)

Hi,

for graphics that are printed in black and white (especially technical drawings), it would be nice to use shadings (or is it called hatching? german: Schraffur; see attachment for an example)...
