Yann, you're wrong. Whilst WebDAV is a standard, few implementations conform to what you would interoperate. I've tested 5 WebDAV implementations in the last 72 hours, and only two of them are close...

The nice folks at 1and1 swear that they support (http://faq.1and1.com/web_space__access/webdav/5.html) WebDAV (in certain packages, one of which I happen to have).

Unfortunately I can't connect...

I've heard hints about the free basic account at box.net.

Once signed up, I can use the Finder's Connect to Server command, specify http://www.box.net/dav/ as the url, username@domain.foo /...
