It seems that the development of Shiira has ground to a halt. The developer, however, has come up with some really nice and innovative UI-ideas. I would be a shame if those innovations got lost...

I'm sure it's a webkit problem. On my Mac both Omniweb and Safari take up insane amounts of ram after having been open for a while. The main reason why I'm using Camino now - rarely uses more than 70...
