You can sync your bookmarks over webdav or to .Mac/me as it is - look in the Preferences.
Why not use Reader Notifier (http://troelsbay.eu/software/reader) for Google...

The 'Add to Bookmarks' button/menu and shortcut function has broken in Revision: 91227.

Edit: I'm being stupid - the box 'Ask for label and location' was unchecked, hence not showing dialogue box.
