Cant change the spacing between characters anymore!

I can't change the spacing between characters under -1 nomore. This bug has completely messed up a document with 60 pages of wireframes.

I'm running MacOs Maverick and Omnigraffle 6. Does anyone...

Yes, the autoswitching between the different inspectors is driving me nuts. I cant find a way to turn that off and I'm find myself in an constant scrolling mode. Not effective at all.
