Apply style to object

Say I have an object to which I want to apply Fill, Line styles and Text. How can I define and then quickly select which style I would like to apply to newly created objects?

Scale object proportionally with mouse

I see there is a Maintain aspect ratio but if I scale it by value. How would I keep proportions if I scale by mouse?
