Thanks! I thought I knew my preferences, but I guess not. Unchecking that "Also back up when quitting" did it for me.

The above posts focus on the speed of OmniFocus when changing perspectives. My complaint is that it's slow when quitting. I just timed it at 25 seconds! Doesn't seem to me that it should take that...
