Exporting to ical issues

It seems that even with 'project granularity' set to 'Daily Schedule, with no time specifics on each task, the export to ical function still sets start times of 8am, meaning that an ical import lists...

So I'm a new user evaluating for a week or so, and I'm struggling with view options. All I want to do is look at my to do items in order of those due today at the top of the page, those due tomorrow...
