I would love to, but I don't think the mighty mouse can do that. I hope I am wrong!

New Tab Solutions

I too would love the New Tab button or the ability to double click the Tab area for a new tab.

However, until this is available I have a temporary solution and I'm looking for suggestions to make...

To get google results to open in a new tab...

To get google results to open in a new tab instead of new window can't you just edit the site preferences for google.com and tell it to open links to other site in a new tab? This works for me.
