Hi there,

many keyboard shortcuts are on keys that differ form language to language, f. e. on the German keyboard there are these Umlauts and "?" etc.

The way Omni has chosen is to look for, say CMD+', on a foreign keyboard, and a German user has to hold Shift+CMD+| (that's pipe) to edit notes.

This example is easy since the ' is printed on the appr. key.

Indent - I use it everyday - is another story:

It's CMD+], but to achieve this on a German keyboard, you have to press ALT+CMD+5, but on the 5 key there is printed "5 / %" - and it's not funny having the Apple keyboard control on the screen all the time ...

So I think Omni would do better putting the shortcuts on the POSITION OF THE KEYBOARD, regardless what language is installed. So you could click CMD+<ThisKey> on each and every keyboard with OF.

Any drawbacks for this approach? What do you mean?

Cheers,
Franz-Josef
