Sorry, those styles actually don't start out with a font at all, they just have a font style which they apply to whatever underlying font already exists for an entry. The default user font in Cocoa is Helvetica 12, so the widget on the right is showing the modified version of that font.

These issues don't make 1.5 worse than the currently shipping 1.0.3 release, so they don't seem worth delaying the 1.5 release to try to address. But it's certainly not too late to look at them for 1.5.1 (which we've already started on).
