I can see how that wording would be confusing - I believe the thing we're trying to communicate is that entering a spotlight search for "Bob" would return files, mail, and OmniFocus projects that referred to him across the whole computer.

If someone attaches a (random example) Photoshop document to their OmniFocus database, we can't necessarily tell how to hand metadata from that file off to Spotlight.
