I think the simplest thing to do would be to use the Omnifocuis banner at the top of the sidebar as a home link, and also possibly to move it to the top of the sidebar between the sync and gear icons.

I have already suggested this one via the support link and the reply I got did say its clearly a popular request so I'm sure it will be fairly high on the todo list for a future update.
